Poster and Oral Presentations
Students in their 3rd year and beyond are required to attend and submit an abstract and poster. First and second year students are only required to attend and not required to submit an abstract and poster.
Upon registration, presenters will be contacted with details about their presentation session and any further guidelines. Awards will be given to trainees who have the best oral and poster presentations.
Oral Presentation Guidelines
Trainees selected for oral presentations will have a total of 15 minutes for their talk (12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions and answers).
- Rooms will be equipped with a PC, LCD projector, and a laser pointer
- Save your talk to a USB drive, cloud service, or email it to yourself
- Morning presenters should arrive by 8:15 am to load presentations onto computer
- Afternoon presenters should load presentations during the poster session
- Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the session begins (we recommend remaining in the room for the entire session)
- Keep to the allotted presentation time
Poster Presentation Guidelines
- Poster board dimensions are 40H x 60W
- Presenters may begin hanging posters at 10:00 AM
- Poster boards will be numbered and push pins will be provided
- Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before your presentation time
- Keep your poster presentation to ~15 minutes per judge
- Poster judges will place a sticker on your poster once it has been reviewed
- Remove your poster by 5:00 PM
